God Is Working Beyond Our View
Nahum 2–3 · Habakkuk 1
“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days.”
Habakkuk 1:5 KJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION
Habakkuk brought God an honest complaint and received an answer he did not expect. God was working, but not in a way the prophet could easily understand. Faith does not require pretending confusion is clarity. It brings questions before God, listens to His Word, and remains surrendered when His ways exceed our view.

Context for careful reading.
פֹּעַל · pōʿal · H6467
Pōʿal means work or deed. God directs Habakkuk to look beyond his immediate frame and recognize divine action.
Habakkuk 1 opens with the prophet’s lament over violence and God’s surprising announcement that He is raising Babylon as an instrument of judgment.
