Break Up the Fallow Ground

Hosea 10–12

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD.”

Hosea 10:12 KJV

TODAY’S DEVOTION

Fallow ground is not useless ground; it is ground left hard and unworked. God calls His people to seek Him until hardened places are opened again to righteousness and mercy. Do not confuse spiritual familiarity with spiritual fruitfulness. The Lord can soften what neglect has hardened when we respond with repentance, prayer, and obedient faith.
