Turn Your Face Toward God

Daniel 7–9

“And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.”

Daniel 9:3 KJV

TODAY’S DEVOTION

Daniel’s visions revealed events larger than his lifetime, yet prophecy did not make him speculative or detached. It moved him to prayer, fasting, confession, and intercession. He responded to God’s Word by seeking God’s face.

When the future feels uncertain, the faithful response is not panic or endless prediction. Christians can pray, repent, remain holy, and trust the Lord who rules history. Let what you do not understand drive you nearer to Jesus rather than deeper into fear. The God who holds tomorrow is present at today’s altar.
