Where the River Goes
Ezekiel 46–48
“And every thing shall live whither the river cometh.”
Ezekiel 47:9 KJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION
The river in Ezekiel’s vision begins at the house of God and grows deeper as it moves outward. Wherever it goes, dead places live. The source is not human strength or careful image management. Life flows from the presence and purpose of God.
The Holy Ghost does not merely comfort us in private; He forms living witnesses who carry the life of Jesus into homes, churches, workplaces, and wounded places. Do not measure spiritual life only by what you feel near the altar. Ask what becomes healthier, truer, and more merciful wherever your surrendered life goes.
GO DEEPER
Context for careful reading.
חָיָה · ḥāyâ · H2421
Ḥāyâ means to live or be revived. In Ezekiel 47, life appears wherever the temple river reaches.
Ezekiel 47 presents a temple river that heals the waters and supports abundant life; chapter 48 closes with the city named “The LORD is there.”
